Weathering A Storm, TLC and Stitching, Murhpy Posing

Here I am at older daughter's house.
It is small and cozy- I call it a doll's house especially compared to the wooden house. She continues to collect interesting things that add to her comfort and enjoyment.
The views out her back yard are pretty too. I'm glad I refilled the bird feeder before the weather changed drastically. One little red squirrel beat these two to it.  Now it is under snow.
I haven't gotten out and about as much as I had planned on.
Grandson and I are weathering a snowstorm together, one with ice pellets in between the snowfalls and high winds.  Ottawa's mayor even got on the news and asked folks to only go out if absolutely necessary- a very rare occurrence. So we're not going anywhere.
I'm so glad I got to Michaels and Mad About Patchwork the first day I was here.  I'll show you on Sunday what I bought.  Family have been texting checking up on us but we are doing well. Daughter borders on hoarding when it comes to food so we are good for the duration (as the old folks would say.)
I'm sleeping in the spare room in a bed with too many pillows.  I never knew that was possible. Every morning it takes ages to sort them and place them just so (the way Daughter had them). And the sheets are fleece! So cozy and warm. I've taken note because I want a set for home.

Meanwhile I've made super progress on Swirling Flowers...so close to a finish.
Catching up on TLC shows and hand stitching fit together well I've discovered.

Missing Hubby and this girl and our walks...I don't remember her posing so well back at the farm but she did.
Hope your weekend is lining up to be a great one!

Hi Jocelyn! Is that a fish vase?!! How cool. It's nice to be surrounded by things and people you love. How nice to be spending the storm with your grandson -plenty of food on hand is a great thing. Enjoy the rest of your visit. I'm sure that DH and your pup will be happy to have you home. ~smile~ Roseanne

It's always nice to be able to stay home on days like that - in this case, your daughter is a smart woman to stock up for you! Love your photo of those little squirrels and also your beautiful pup. Enjoy the rest of your time with grandson!

Your daughter has some pretty things in her house and I hope the storm doesn't last too long and you can get out and about. Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

I love those vases! Isn't it nice that daughter stocked up on food and you are snug as a bug in the storm. How old is the grandson - good company age I hope. The dog looks so sleek and peaceful. Glad you got to Michaels and quilt shop before the bad weather came!

Glad you are safe, warm and have enough food to hold up, and stocked up on craft and sewing supplies. Great picture of the pup.

The most important is that you are safe and warm. A good snow storm can be fun to watch from inside a warm home.

Storms are not fun but I'm happy you have such a brave helper. Great views inside and out :)

So good the family check up to make sure you are all OK.And better still that you managed to get the most important shopping done before being housebound. I'm sure the other family at home are OK too, just a tad quieter without you there. That beautiful dark glossy coat, says there is lots of TLC.

Glad you and your Grandson are safe warm and cosy through the storm. Surrounding yourself with items you love bring such joy regardless of the size of your home....love that!

Oh my on that storm! Are you far from your home? Fleece sheets are wonderful. Your dog looks so sweet.
I know your daughter isn't like this, but your mention of pillows reminded me of my MIL. She used to have porcelain dolls in every corner and decorative pillows two deep on the sofa. She got upset one time when I moved the pillows in order to sit on the sofa and also when I put dolls on the floor in our bedroom (so we could sleep on the bed!) She was a dear in many other ways, and I miss her terribly, but she was a toot about her things. ;)

Flannel sheets are the best! Stay safe and sound.

Keep warm and safe during the snow storm. We have soft fleecy sheets on our bed in winter, the caravan bed too, and our winter weather is nowhere as severe as yours. Yes you must get yourself some.

Nothing like those fleece sheets. Have a set on my bed now. Stay safe and warm....and enjoy your time with your daughter and grandson. Thanks for linking up.

At first I thought the photo of your beautiful girl was a quilt. She's gorgeous.

Hello, I hope you are having fun with the grandkids and staying warm and safe. The vase and arrangement in the first photo is lovely. The squirrels always know how to find the food even under the snow. Love your sweet dog. The fleece sheets are warm and cozy. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend.

Storm days are definitely best spent hunkered down and looking forward to cozy sheets at night. One of the few things about winter that I enjoy. Stay warm!
