I tumbled down a rabbit hole this week I can tell you!! On a whim I decided to get out my scrappy Quilt Bible blocks and see what they looked like all together. The floor was the only space free to lay them out. I'd already made the decision to use a light blue fabric for the sashing as Rosemary had used in her book. I figured she's the expert and actually I think it is working okay.
I'd thought of black but didn't have enough on hand and white is over used by me. I like this project enough and it is teaching me skills I need so after two days on my sewing room floor, I've made the decision to put it back in its tote. I'll try to sew a block here and there and build it into a real quilt, not just sized for the lap.
Meanwhile, this much smaller project is on my TO DO list for this week. I've added more hand quilting lines to the Turkey block in the middle of the Snowman table runner and I need to finish the borders. I wish this would photograph the correct colour.
I'm thinking my stem stitching on the snowmen is not bad. I mention that not for bragging or anything but I'm questioning if I am still able to stitch as well. My work on the Moda Holiday SAL blocks is definitely not as neat, I'm realizing.

your picture of the dog at the kitchen counter is like at my daughters house, we have to keep pushing things away from the edge as the youngest dog was very keen on getting food and in fact managed to pull a plate holding a piece of pie to within reach and grabbed the slice and made a mess on the floor while trying to clean it up while we were trying to get the mess up off the floor and off of paws!
So many fun things to be stitching on! I love your blue and white snowmen. Are you hand quilting this one - your stitches look wonderful to me! Those free downloadables from Crabapple Hill are very enticing.
Lovely projects, and thanks so much for the links. Love the one in your header. My daughter got me a Yeti cup for my BD in October. I had a SIC cup before, but I had dropped it in the driveway a couple of times and the bottom was sort of wobbly. Hope you have a great week, and thanks again to the links, I always appreciate them!

Your stitching on the blue snowmen is fabulous! I think hand embroidery is so fun to do. I started a redwork snowmen series the other night. My hubby and I both have that same Yeti mug, we were gifted them when we purchased our new truck last year and we love the mug(and the truck)! I do take drinks in the sewing room all the time, in this mug or another similar.
The pic of Ned made me smile. I caught Bobbin stretching her utmost to try to fish something out of the garbage a wee bit ago. Love your Bible blocks, and now I have had to visit crab apple studio for the christmas download. Not going down that rabbit hole right now, but perhaps eventually.

Really wish I could visit Crabapple Hill because I've seen so many beautiful things from there - unfortunately, for reasons unknown, my computer absolutely refuses to go there and gives me dire warnings every time I do. Sigh.\
I really love the blue stitched snow people - so often you see them done with red, but I think the blue adds to illusion of 'chilly'.
Yes Neddy is definitely growing. I have decided that if I have not finished the last 2 UFOs by the end of December they will be put away for another person to finish them!!!! No squirrels, well, I do have one started but having problems with how to design the darn thing. Anyway. great post! Hugs
