It's January in Canada

Tears flowing here this morning.  I just read an article in the paper about a little boy here in Ontario, Canada who received the heart of a little girl in Michigan, U.S. He is now thriving.  One family's joy and another family's tragedy.  But in the end, the ultimate gift seemed to also bring the family, if not joy, then much satisfaction.

We have a frost bite warning in effect.  That means exposed flesh can freeze in a matter of minutes.  It follows a stormy weekend here with snow and freezing rain.  All the trees are coated with ice and we are a little concerned about the very old pine tree in the back yard.  The branches are reaching to the ground and every needle is encased in ice.

There are broken branches all over the ground.  But it is pretty today with a little sun and blue sky.

Another day for inside work and later, more stitching; of course that's a given.
